About CSRI
Dr. Faure-Alderson founded CSRI Academy of Excellence in London, 2010 – the International Association of practitioners and teachers of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology (CSR).
It was established to promote and protect the concept of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology; to provide training and support services to practitioners of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology who initially become students of the organisation and then go on to be practising members. CSRI also oversees the teaching of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology around the world.
Cranio-Sacral Reflexology courses through the Academy are taught by qualified and licensed CSR teachers in the UK and all over the world.
CSRI Academy of Excellence is a school member of RiEN.
The CSRI Network
The CSRI Network extends from the UK to Ireland, Iceland, Canada, the Caribbean, Kenya, Hungary and Luxembourg.
Students, graduates and teachers from these countries are engaged in promoting CranioSacral Reflexology, offering effective treatments to clients and opportunities to learn this unique method of reflexology.
Together we are working to raise standards of professionalism and knowledge, and to gather research evidence.
Osteopathy, Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Reflexology
CSR is a therapeutic method combining the use of pressure on specific areas of the foot, which relate to the 12 cranial nerves and to the pulse of the Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF) that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. CSR can access the CSF from a point in the foot, hand and the head.
How It Works
CSR works in treating trauma and stress-related conditions by balancing the distribution of CSF within the four ventricles of the brain. Pressure applied to the specific points on the feet stimulates and re-harmonises the Cranial Rhythm – Primary Respiratory Movement (PRM). The movement of CSF can be felt in the feet as a wave and is quite distinct from the pulse of the heart.
